Dear Friends of IntelNexus 2009: The current economic crisis has taken its toll. Despite our best efforts to recruit sponsors, vendors, and attendees, and to provide you with the very best program possible, the gravity of the deteriorating job market and the impact of the growing economic crisis on industry has made it impossible for many of our friends and supporters to participate in this conference. It takes a robust attendance, in addition to an outstanding program, to make a conference a success. We have the program, with some of the most courageous and knowledgeable speakers in the field of counter-terrorism and intelligence analysis; but the failing economy made the conference unaffordable to most of our most loyal supporters. In the end, we did not have the critical mass of people attending to justify the enormous expense of putting on this conference. For this reason, reluctantly and with heavy hearts, Thanks to all of our wonderful speakers, for your willingness to participate in this conferencing experiment, and for your understanding about our decision to cancel the conference. Thanks also to all of you who responded to our request for feedback. Your letters reinforced our commitment and we will continue to provide you with information and analysis of critical world events. We urge you to develop strong collaborative relationships with others who share your passion. Share information and analysis with them so that we may all be better informed about the threats facing our nation. Your input is always welcome.
